A friend of mine needs some help

Hi Friends and Family,

This is my first GoFundMe, and I feel pretty awkward asking anyone for assistance, but a friend of mine that I deliver Meals on Wheels to could really use some help. Mary is a wonderful woman that I have gotten to know over the last 8 years that I've been volunteering with Meals on Wheels. I always sit down and have a nice chat with Mary. She had a stroke about 12 years or so ago, which caused her to loose most of the function of her right arm. Mary is in her 70's and lives alone in an apartment in Logan, and lives solely on her monthly Social Security check. Unexpectedly last week, Mary's daughter Heather passed away from cancer that had only been diagnosed less than a week earlier. Heather was Mary's only family in Logan. The cost of cremation is $2400, which Mary does not have. Between her, her sisters, and myself we have put together $1200, so there is still $1200 left to raise so that Mary can get some closure on this first step of her grieving. I have made a bunch of calls and searched the web for local or state programs that help people in Mary's situation cover cremation costs, but surprisingly I have found nothing. If you feel you can donate any amount, Mary and I would be extremely grateful. I don't want anyone to feel any pressure, so if you are inclined to donate, please do so anonymously so that others that may not be able to donate don't feel pressured.
