Pray for Lizzie

Donation protected
On May 27th, Elizabeth's Memorial Day, camping adventure went horribly wrong. Lizzie was injured in a RZR (side by side buggy) rollover, along with 3 other young girls. Lizzie's injury was an extremely serious head injury. After the accident other campers rushed to her aide and helped to stabilize her, and thanks to the knowledge of multiple EMTs that were close to the accident, Lizzie was comforted until the Life Flight helicopter arrived to take her to Mizzoula, Montana. Weather diverted them to Dillon, Montana and she was attended to by the great staff at Barrett Hospital and Healthcare. After communication with surrounding hospitals, a Life Flight fixed wing carried Lizzie to Salt Lake City, UT where she currently resides at the Primary Children's Hospital in the Picu (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). Currently Lizzie has undergone a surgery to relieve pressure on the brain. She has remained sedated and on a ventilator to help her breath. She's responding to some stimulus and voice which is a huge relief to all. Doctors have given us a lot of hope and the many prayers and positive thoughts of others have been felt and much needed by her and her mother, Jessica. Expectation at this time is she will be staying at the hospital throughout this summer, and miss her swim and stroke clinics that she was so excited for. She faces a long road ahead and needs our positive thoughts, and additional support through this process.Lizzie's family will likely face fast-mounting medical bills to get Lizzie on the road to recovery. As stressful as this situation continues to be, Lizzie's mother, Jessica, is continuing to work so that she can maintain her income, and any sort of stability she can create during this time.We do not know much this is going to cost but we know that this tragedy will be financially catastrophic for Jessica. ANY donation amount, be it large or small is SO GREATLY appreciated and will help ease the burden for her and Lizzie during this long road and intensive recovery.Thank you for the outpouring of love and well-wishes we have received so far. Please continue to keep Lizzie and her mother in your thoughts and prayers. Updates will be provided as they come.More about Lizzie:Lizzie is a curious sassy pants with a caring and loving heart.
