06/001/2018 update:

Thursday night Will suffered a catastrophic bleed into the left side of his brain. The doctors have gone everything they possibly could but he’s basically brain dead. We each got 1-1 time with him to say our goodbyes. They’re taking him off the ventilator and it should be quick and painless.

This morning they took Will off the ventilator and disconnected the ECMO around 11:30 and just before noon he passed into a better place... but one we cannot go to yet. He's our newest angel and he's a fighter. I have to trust he's fighting for us as hard as we fought for him.

Thank you everyone for thoughts, prayers, messages... just knowing you are here got me thru the past several days. Please continue to pray for family and friends as they come to terms with this new reality. Any financial assistance you’d like to make for funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.

William is 3 years old and he has HLHS. (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) On April 30th, 2018 he had his third open surgery and was released to go home a week later. He was back to being his happy and outgoing self. On May 22nd his heart function started declining and he had to be flown to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Since getting to the hospital he has had to be intubated, put on a heart/lung bypass machine, dialysis, and is heavily sedated. Currently the doctors are not sure what is causing all of these problems but are doing everything they can to find answers. They aren’t sure how long he is going to be hospitalized. His dad Trent won’t be able to work due to him staying in the hospital until he is released. Family is helping out as much as possible but any donations would be very appreciated.
