Right before our leadership course in India, we as participants had the chance to visit a non government organisation in Bengaluru with our local colleagues who are supporting this organisation. So we went into a minority area in the west of the city. We did not know much about the program and so we learned a lot that day - maybe even more than in our course. When we visited the girl education center, we got to know some fantastic girls, full of joy and energy and beautiful from the inside and out and their caring mothers, who themselves never received any education. The staff from the education center is running a two-room place that feels like a safe heaven and a place to learn for the girls. They are beeing prepared for school, they learn crafts and skills they and their communities need - like hygiene and what best to do with waste, and why an education is important and also why even girls can take up a job when they have grown into women.  So, we eagerly want to help and would like to raise money  to help. Please help us in that challenge to assist this outstanding NGO and help those 350 girls to get notebooks, back packs, shoes and other needed material. Enlight is an NGO: - focus on girls - involve their community ( mothers especially) to understand the benefit - help them in stay in school, have better opportunities in the future, create an understanding what change this can make - keep them from begging, child marriages. We are raising funds up until saturday morning 9 am India time. Thank you!
