Help Carl and Denise

Carl and Denise Smith are long time friends of ours.  Carl and I were high school classmates, football teammates and went to seminary together.  In January of 2016,  Denise had to have an arm amputated due to cancer and Carl had back surgery in the same month.  And in March, he found out that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.    Carl is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments and they have incurred substantial medical costs which continue to mount. Carl is self-employed (works as an anger management/domestic violence educator) and doesn't get paid when he misses work due to treatments.
