Delmar's Story and Why you should Donate

     The field of Medicine has always been a major interest to me from a very tender age. I grew up seeing my family members die of various illnesses and my mother being sick, it was this In mind that when it came to choosing a major career path, the choice of pursuing medicine came to me naturally. I find the thought of taking care of others very intriguing and embarking on this career path will enable me to provide for me and my family and undoubtedly help my country as a whole. I know that medicine can be demanding and challenging, but the satisfaction and fulfillment that comes with the job is quite rewarding.

    Over the years, my interest in the medical field has evolved tremendously. Each experience with my family member’s experiences has brought me closer to my focus on being a medical doctor. It is for this reason that I would like to pursue a Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery in Medicine and Surgery because it would give me a chance to develop both my leadership and advocacy skills as well as clinical knowledge.

      Becoming a Doctor would enable me to deliver care to those who need it most, while at the same time improving my critical thinking skills. It will give me a chance to be a good leader with knowledge of political policies, the core aspects required to advocate and create changes in the healthcare sector at all levels. I fell that I can care for underserved individuals. My personal goal has always been to provide quality healthcare to all members of society. I will also be able to help these disadvantaged patients to advocate for their health rights by educating them on the importance of healthcare and how to access it, the challenge of going through medical school will enable me to be myself and to think of others who are in need of medical health.

    Upon completion of my Bachelor in Medicine, Surgery in Medicine and Surgery, I plan on working with my community, giving back to my school and also a hospital in my fellow country so that I can help disadvantaged populations within my country to improve their access to quality healthcare. I will also use knowledge from my academics to analyze the cultural; economic, social, environmental, and policy health components of healthcare so that I can reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes. I will provide my services to the people of my country, people of all ages by making sure they have cost-effective, ethical, culturally competent, and quality care in healthcare settings.

   My professional goals are all aligned with the outcomes and skills that I will acquire from being a doctor. This bachelor will equip me with public management skills which are important when it comes to providing healthcare for various populations in my country. I have always had an interest in advocating for people who do not receive quality healthcare base on a low income, ethnicity, and race and plan to make a change. I also, want to bridge these gaps that continue to persist in healthcare quality amongst different communities. I, therefore, believe in myself to do what I want to do, so that I can look back and say, that it was because I aspired to inspire those around me that brought me to where I am to be.
