A This is the story of Dr. Junior Kom Tayou. He was a wonderful young man full of life that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished. His story starts on June 20, 1986, the only child to Marie Ndome Moni and Gabriel Floris Kom. Junior Tayou was born in Buea Cameroon, where he spent his childhood and made many lifelong friends. It was very clear that you were very different from the rest of us when we were growing up. Your star shone so bright. You were smarter than your peers. We were all so proud of the intelligent young man that you were. In 1999 you obtained your First School Leaving Certifcate from Government Primary School, Buea Town. Life was not fair to you, because you lost your Dad, Mr. Kom, in 1997, then later in 2002, you lost your Mum, Ms. Moni. Despite these losses, you kept your focus on your education and obtained your Advanced Level certificate in flying colors in 2005 from Government Bilingual High School, Molyko. Under the guardianship of your Uncle, Mr. Peter Ngayap, you continued your education at the University of Buea where in 2008 you graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences. Your Uncle, Mr. Ngayap, was so proud of you when you were awarded a full-ride scholarship to further your studies in the United States in 2009. You completed your Masters of Science at the East Tennessee Univeristy in 2012. Your excellent results at the Master's level paved your way into the University of Miami, where you were offered a PhD program. In 2016, you graduated as Doctor of Philosphy in medical Sciences. That same year, you lost your Uncle, Mr Ngayap. From Miami, you started a new journey in your professional life and that took you to Portland, Oregon; Austin, Texas and Seattle, Washington. On May 15th, 2018, two police officers arrived at your uncle's residence, Dr. Jake Moni, telling him and his family of the worse possible news ever, that your body was found in Honolulu, Hawaii and that you had been gone since April 20th, 2018. Devastated they all were and started struggling to inform family members; your Aunt, Ms. Genevieve Malange from Birmingham, UK, your uncle, Mr. Boniface Takam Tayou, from Buea, Cameroon and friends. Our hearts are broken!!! Many of us can recalled how we recently communicated with you, not knowing it would be the last we will ever hear from you. How can life be so unfair! We simply cannot let you rest in a country that is not your home. You had so many dreams and goals for your life to end so soon. With a broken heart we plead with everyone reading this to help us get the remains of our son, brother and friend back home to rest. Every little donation helps and we will be grateful. Rest In Peace Dr. Junior Kom Tayou (Jun 20, 1986 - Apr 20, 2018).
