Hi, my name is Lydia, and I'm fundraising for my dear friend Melissa Kaltman, a strong and vibrant 36-year-old who is now facing one of the biggest battles of her life — stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC), an aggressive form of breast cancer that is ER-positive, PR-negative, and HER2-positive.

This diagnosis has turned Melissa's world upside down. She’s set to begin an intense treatment journey that includes chemotherapy, targeted therapy, surgery, and radiation. As anyone who has been through this knows, the emotional and physical toll is overwhelming — and so is the financial burden.

Despite having insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for treatment, medications, time away from work, and other unexpected expenses are adding up quickly. Melissa is incredibly independent and has always been the first to show up for others — now it's our turn to show up for her.
