Help us save Merlin - Sudden Vet Bills

Hi. If you are new to this fundraiser feel free to read through all the updates and the story to get all the details <3 Merlin has received a possible diagnosis after many days in hospital. We will go back to our local vet to start the suggested treatment. Any help would still mean the world to us as our bills are close to 10.000£ and we are looking at life long medication. My husband and I are sharing this with a heavy heart. Our cat Merlin, who is only 2.5 years old, is suffering from a critical medical condition and needs urgent treatment. The worst part is they haven't quite figured out what the main problem is yet. He is currently in the intensive care unit at The Ralph Veterinary Referral Centre, where he is receiving the best possible care by the most amazing people. We hope they will be able to provide some answers soon.

Merlin is more than just a pet to us... he is a part of our family. He is such a special boy who has in many ways saved my life. He has been with us since he was a kitten, and we absolutely can't imagine our lives without him.

Unfortunately, the treatment that Merlin needs is very expensive, and we are struggling to cover the costs. And not knowing exactly what's wrong also means a lot of uncertainty.

We have already spent over £2500 on his initial tests and hospitalisation, and the Vets expect the total bill to be around £6500 at this point. This will all be used for the treatments, scans, exams, medication, and hospital time. This is a huge amount of money for us as we are both self-employed creatives and are at a particularly unstable point in our lives. We are reaching out for help because we want Merlin to have the best treatment and chances and would NEVER want our decisions around that to be based purely on money, which is a corner we now kind of find ourselves in.
