Support Matt Prinzi's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
ZOA NATCA is raising funds for one of our members and his family. Matt Prinzi, a developmental controller at Oakland Center since 2021 was recently diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer, which has metastasized to his brain, spine and ribs. With the challenges of living in the Bay Area on a developmental salary and raising a small boy with his wife, Matt was not able to afford disability insurance, These challenges coupled with the FAA denying his hardship transfer, he will need to begin traveling back and forth to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida for more advanced treatment. Matt has already begun radiation in the Bay Area to slow the growth of cancer in his brain, but his Oncologist has indicated treatment at Mayo is essential to his survivability. Matt has dedicated his entire professional life to public service, beginning in Jacksonville, Florida as a Community Service Officer at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and now as an union Air Traffic Controller, our hope is the community will recognize his commitment to service and support his family in their time of need. Matt is also receiving receiving leave donations through the FAA's VLTP donation program. He can be found in the OVLTP system under Western Pacific or National Listing.
