In 2001, my world changed after a diving accident resulted in paralysis and limited use of my upper body. I never thought I would be able to play sports ever again until I was introduced to Power Soccer in 2004. Power Soccer has helped empower me in a number of ways, including gaining independence, competing nationally, and helping in enabling others in power wheelchairs the ability to compete in a sport in which their reliance on others is limited. Unfortunately at the present time, I am unable to compete at the level in which I desire to as a result of a power soccer chair that is no longer functioning. The goal of this campaign is to raise money towards purchasing a new Strike Force Power Soccer Chair in order to continue to participate in the sport that I love and further assist others in experiencing the dynamic sport of Power Soccer.
