Wesley's Hope - Funding the Fight
Donation protected
Meet Wesley. He is full of light and love, laughter and faith. He is a blessing to his family and has an amazing effect even on complete strangers. His southern charm opens the hearts of people everywhere - events, medical facilities, even an entire hotel dining room which he got to talking about Pokemon cards! He also earned a very special pin from a U.S. Secret Service Agent for his bravery - while he was just enjoying some chicken noodle soup....
On October 9, 2012, at age four, Wesley Shafer, son of Wayne and Jo Ellen Shafer, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He underwent extensive treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and, in April of 2014, Wesley’s family received wonderful news: REMISSION! It was with great joy that Wesley proceeded to live life as a Survivor and enjoy the blessings of childhood.

Then, in October 2014, came the devasting news: Recurrance. Wesley began an oral chemotherapy to keep the cancerous growth at bay.

Wesley's cancer is progressing right now. He still looks and feels great, but Recurrent/Relapsed Neuroblastoma is very, very serious. The previous oral chemotherapy treatments that have kept his cancer in check since October 2014 are no longer able to meet his needs and have been stopped for the time being, although not ruled out completely as a part of potential upcoming treatment. For updates on Wesley's treatments, please visit Wesley's Hope on Facebook
God’s Grace shines through this joyful, amazing child!

Please continue to lift him up in prayer as he begins the next phase of treatment. As you are able, please consider supporting his family financially as they do everything in their power to fight alongside their sweet boy! Any donation that you make will go directly to Wayne and Jo Ellen to fund the fight that is Wesley’s Hope. May God bless you for your amazing love, prayers and support for this family!
“Nothing is impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” Psalm 28:7
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” - Hebrews 10:23
