Kidney Transplant for My Daughter
Donation protected
My daughter, Janet Riegelmayer, is the love of my life. She has stage 5 kidney failure with only 6% kidney function. Last December, she was diagnosed with anemia, AKI (acute kidney injury), Pancytopenia (low white blood cells, low red blood cells and platelets), Systemic Lupus Erythematosus with Glomerular Disease. Basically, the Lupus attacked her kidneys.
This was a shock to everyone. Janet has been a first grade and kindergarten teacher for 13 years in the Cleveland area. Always devoted to the children, she never realized how sick she felt as she kept pushing going in early and working at home after school.
Janet is on the Cleveland Clinic transplant list but the wait is very long. A living donor would be the best possible option.
Janet accomplished one of her dreams by purchasing the home that she grew up in, but it is a financial struggle living alone and dealing with medical expenses.
Janet looks beautiful and happy but life with kidney failure is rough physically and emotionally. She hooks herself up to a machine for peritoneal dialysis every night at home for nine hours. Every night all night.
There are medical costs that insurance doesn’t cover such as the lifelong medications she will need. Janet will also incur lost wages after a three-month long recuperation after surgery.
Financial assistance would make Janet's life easier and would be very much appreciated.
Please help the love of my life.
Thank you!
