5k EVERY DAY ! NELSON'S FEBRUARY CHALLENGE
5k EVERY DAY - MY FEBRUARY CHALLENGE
I'm doing this challenge where I do a 5k run everyday throughout February all in aid of the 24th Wallasey Scout Group who are in need of some much needed funds.
I have been a part of this group since the age of 8, I've come through the ranks at the 24th starting out with the cubs then scouts into ventures and eventually becoming a leader. My children are now members of this group and I'm still a certified helper (who mainly makes the tea!)
This cause is very close to my heart as this scout group has been a big part of my life and the only reason I love camping and other outdoor activities so much and without scouting like so many others from the area I would not have ordinarily had the opportunity to do these things. They are an integral part of the community and the thousands of people who have come through the ranks at the 24th including the members today will all agree.
So in doing this challenge it's my turn to give something back to the group as during these difficult times it still has bills to pay despite not being able to open and it's also important to raise funds now in preparation for when scouting is finally allowed back and the young people of Wallasey can return to their scout group.
I'll do daily updates with runs and times (don't expect them to be quick) to keep everyone up to date with my progress.
Please give what you can if you can every pound is really appreciated by me and every Beaver, Cub, Scout, Leader and Helper at the 24TH WALLASEY SCOUT GROUP
