For the month of November I am taking part in Musgraves 'Triathlon That’s Not A Triathlon' ,and running 5k a day everyday to raise vital funds for Breakthrough Cancer Research.
5 years ago next month I lost my brother John to cancer. He was just 34 years of age. In this country, we lose one person every single HOUR to cancer. This is a figure which unfortunately Breakthrough Cancer says will tragically increase as cancer screenings, treatments, and research have all lost months due to COVID-19.
Just like my own family, there isn't a household in Ireland who has not been affected by this disease, or unfortunately some day will be. Cancer doesn't discriminate, it doesn't care about your age, your colour or your creed.
Im doing this challenge in memory of my brother and my friends & family who have had the deal with devastating consequences of this disease. If you can support, even with the smallest donation, it will go to an amazing cause and will be massively appreciated.
Both myself and my knees appreciate your support!
