Who this will help
My name is Emily and June of 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. My pain up to this point was unbearable, I stayed in the hospital for a week. The tumor was too big and surgery would actually be a risk for me. The tumor was also affecting other organs like my bladder, and kidneys so they had to put a catheter in. After leaving the hospital, I was sent home with about 14 different medications, I had set many alarms on my phone. I then started radiation and chemotherapy. which was every day for radiation and once a week for chemotherapy. I endured so many side effects from both that still affect me today. Aug2023 I completed treatment, the original tumor was gone. But I had to wait 3 months. On Oct 31 2023 I had another PET scan and it should it had spread to 3 other areas. I am not on my second treatment, chemotherapy is once every 3 weeks but more intense more drugs. I lost my hair, alot of emotions running through me. I just got done with my 3rd session and I need to get another PET scan to see where I stand. I sure hope this is progress and I continue to push myself to fight and take care of myself. My family is close by, but living alone is pretty hard. Thank you for taking the time to read and spread love, peace, and joy to one another.
Why I'm fundraising
I want to help with awareness of cervical cancer and also help with the confidence of living with this horrible disease, want to help others, be supportive towards each other. I find it easy to talk to someone and I want someone to feel open to share their journey with me as well, and just spread love and support, paying it forward
The impact of your support
This will also help me out with my bills and groceries, my pet needs, I have a Australian shepherd named Gemma. She has been my support since the pain first started, having a companion really has helped with my mood, self esteem, and just keeping a positive attitude.
Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate everyone's time, and supporting and paying it forward.
