On September the 2nd 2015 my 2-year-old brother Ben was diagnosed with a very rare type of soft tissue sarcoma. This is a very aggresive cancer that we had never heard of before. Because the tumour is so rare, there is no exact protocol to follow, which has left the doctors no option but to create their own plan of treatment. With all the chemotherapy and radiotherapy Ben has had to endure, his immune system has become weaker and weaker. The daily injections he is currently having for his immune system are making him sick, which has caused him to lose an excessive ammount of weight, leaving him extremely thin and weak. We have been researching alternatives and the only other medication we have found in order for Ben to get better and start putting weight back on is going to cost us a total of £4000. This money will pay for 3 injections called G-CSF pegylated filgrastim and will replace the injections that he is having now that are making him sick. They will help his immune system get it's strength back and help him fight infections. These injections will also help fight illnesses and prevent further weight loss and help him get his energy back.
Any donations are hugely appreciated and we can't thank you enough for the support.
Thank you so much for reading and donating. Let’s give this incredible, smiley boy his smile back.
