This was after his 2nd surgery. After 5 days of having the picc line, they removed it in order to insert his CVL (Central Venous Line) through a vein in his neck, down to his heart. There are 2-3 tubes/lines connected to the white tube from his heart, and the doctors & nurses use those tubes to give him his antibiotics, medications, his liquid diet (when he wasn’t eating at all), and also to give him 3 of his 4 types of chemo. He is such a trooper, and hasn’t complained about them once. I admire him so much, because I know if I had tubes coming out of my chest, I would constantly be complaining. 
This was after his first surgery that he had to have. They inserted a picc line, through a vein in his arm, and it had 2-3 tubes connected to it, so that they could give him everything that he needed. After they put him to sleep, they put the mask on him to help give him oxygen. 
Maddox was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Wednesday May 2nd. This site will allow you to follow Maddox journey on his road to healing. Maddox, and his mom and dad have been living at the hospital since Wednesday May, 2nd, and are guaranteed to be there until May 31st. However, it could be much longer. Since one of the parents is required to be with him at all times, it has made it difficult for them to be able to go to work. If they don’t work, they don’t get paid, and and with no paycheck expenses don’t get paid. It is going to be a long journey ahead, and they really don’t know what the future has in store. It could be longer hospital stays, it could be clinic visits everyday from Irving to Dallas, but right now it is just unknown. They could use as much financial help as possible, as this just completely blindsided them, as it would anyone.
