Hello family and friends,

Some of you may already know the news, but for those that don’t, my mother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma back in July. Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the blood that has no cure but can be managed with proper treatment.

Her cancer has been spreading rapidly throughout her body and very aggressively. She is no longer herself and is in desperate need of medication/treatments. She is currently still waiting on her insurance, so we have been covering everything ourselves, and boy, it is not cheap. She needs blood transfusions every week, and her oncologist is about to start her on a new treatment that is even more costly. I will also have to go the route of getting power of attorney for my mother since she cannot make decisions for herself right now.

I am reaching out to you, her friends and family, for help with her treatments/medications and finding a lawyer. I cannot do this alone, emotionally nor financially. I do not want to deprive my mother of what she needs to live. She cannot wait for her insurance. Time is not on my mother’s side. This has been extremely hard for us, and those who know her, know that all she has is my brother and me.
