Helping Luis

Hi, my name is Lexi I am a very close person to Luis. At the beginning of November, Luis was experiencing unexplained chest pains and fevers. During clinical, he went to the ER where they found a mass next to his lung. He was then transferred to GWV to seek further treatment in the Oncology Unit. They ran several tests on him which resulted in a lymphoma. After being discharged and going to a few doctor's appointments, the doctors recommended he go to Geisinger in Danville to run more tests. After a lumbar puncture and bone marrow biopsy, the final diagnosis was lymphoma and leukemia. He is now being treated with Chemo and recently got his first dose of it. Luis is in nursing school at Wilkes University and they were so kind enough to let him finish this semester, but it has been hard. Luis has been unable to work throughout this unexpected diagnosis. If anyone knows Luis, they know he doesn't ask for help ever. He's the type of person to get it done himself and to work for what he wants. Ariana who is Luis's instructor and one of the nurses that took care of him and I recommended a GoFundMe account for him because we are unsure about the hospital bills, and he hasn't been able to pay his bills. While Luis is staying very positive, it was a very unexpected and upsetting month. We are also unsure as to how long he will be out of work/school during this time. Any penny counts.
