2.5 months ago, my sister Stacey was diagnosed with a mass on her lung. The mass is in a position that is almost completely obstructing her esophagus, so she has been at home with a feeding tube since being discharged from the hospital. Today, Stacey is on her way to get her first chemo treatment, and Thursday she will begin radiation. We are all hoping that one year from now, she will be feeling much better!

Stacey's husband, Warren, is a dedicated border patrol agent who has been by her side every step of the way. Together, they have two beautiful children who are a constant source of joy and strength for Stacey during this difficult time. She has a phenomenal treatment team at the University of Arizona who have been compassionate, professional and dedicated in her care.

Today, Stacey shared her story publicly, a courageous and challenging act. Sharing this nightmare publicly makes it all the more real.
