Dear friends,

As many of you know, Mark’s head contains more than just a wonderful personality and some filthy innuendo.

He’s been living in agony for well over a year now, while his partner Rachel was also extremely unwell, and the systematic defunding of the NHS means that he’ll likely have to wait another year before they can provide the vital surgery he needs.

So he and Rachel have taken the tough decision to opt for private surgery which has now been scheduled for 11th April. Including scans, screening and the surgery itself, this is likely to cost £15,000 (approx breakdown below).

Those of us that know Mark will know that asking friends for financial support of this magnitude will not sit easily with him. However, Mark makes our lives so much richer, and the world a far better place, so I think a few of us could spare the cost of a vodka and coke to see him up on his feet (or knees!) again soon.
