 He had the biggest heart. Sincere. Genuine. Intelligent.

A beautiful encouraging laugh, and wit to challenge the brightest. His subtle sarcasm had most questioning their own beliefs. A loving person, a cook, a scholar. A loving son, uncle, and brother.

I love my brother. He is my blood.

August 31, 2015 he took his life.

He is now no longer in pain, and with his abuelita. My brother had been battling with something within himself, for years. He hid his struggles, calculated his demise. Faced death like a beast.

Suicide is real. Depression is real.

I have infinite respect for him. He went out like Socrates.
