Franklin Family Flooded
Donation protected
Hello friends and family! Many of you have probably heard about the flooding that has occurred in Monroe, La.
I will start with the good news: my family is safe. Mikhail, Bilal, Michael, and I left as the water continued to come into our home on Wednesday. We have our lives and a few clothes, so we consider ourselves very blessed.
The weather did not improve, and the water has continued to rise. The picture that I posted is of our street. (Thanks to our beloved friend who risked getting that close for us, as that's as close as you can get to our home.)
We will obviously need some assistance, as evacuating your home is never expected. This has been an emotional and finanical strain, and we would appreciate any assistance you could offer as we try to start rebuilding our lives from the pieces we were able to salvage.
