Wild Earth Oceania is saving Australian Wildlife
Donation protected
Wild Earth Oceania (WEO) are fund raising worldwide to save the koala and threatened Australian and global wildlife species from extinction. WEO are an International and Australian led Wildlife Film Festival. Through the power of storytelling WEO saves species worldwide.
Australia is a mega-diverse nation which means that almost all our endemic ecosystems and species occur nowhere else in the world. At present in Australia over 1500 species are at risk of threatened extinction in the next 12 months. We need wildlife to survive. We are utterly dependant on nature and wildlife for ecosystem
services such clean air, fertile soil, pollination, suppression of zoonotic disease, pharmaceutical wealth, and mental and physical health benefits. The list is long and essential for humanity to thrive.
We have never been at a more crucial time in history. We have never had the stakes higher, but we have also never had more hope. There is incredible work being done all over the world and this is an epic opportunity for filmmakers and storytellers to continue to unite to create a sustainable and habitable planet. We were born to tell stories and to come together in community.
WEO have two events per year, a National event in Australia and an event at the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly. We work with wildlife, youth, Indigenous communities, grassroots organisations, and film makers from every continent and we are a voice for global citizens at the United Nations annually.
In 14 short months we have had tremendous success through the U.S.A. Premiere of Collision at the United Nations General Assembly in 2023 which unveiled and addressed the global issue of fatal ship strikes on whales. At the United Nations General Assembly this year, the Premiere of Future Council empowered 11-15 years olds from eight different countries at a global level.
We need your help to continue this crucial work. We are planning for a National event in Australia in 2025 for 10,000 to 25,000 people to attend. We will also be at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025 being a voice for those who need it most. 100 wildlife films will premiere in Adelaide, the second only green city in the world. We will be hosting a wildlife, biodiversity, and climate change convention together with the film festival to accelerate global transition to renewable energy.
100% of your donation will be used to save species globally through the film festival, movement, and convention that educates, inspires, and informs people to better protect wildlife and our collective future.
We can't do this alone and we know we are better together. We are grateful for your generous donation without which none of this would be possible. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any queries or require further information.
Yours faithfully,
