Help Tammy Rumore Keep Her Home!

My mom, Tammy Rumore, is the strongest person I know. A mother of five and a domestic abuse survivor, she's always put everyone around her first and did her best to make sure we were all loved and cared for. She is fiercely independent and has fought hard for that independence since leaving that abusive relationship in 2003. So I knew that when she asked for help with this GoFundMe that she truly needed it.

In November of 2021, Tammy suffered a workplace injury to her knee while working as a table games supervisor at Harrah's Casino. This injury has prevented her from going back to work, as well as causing further complications in her spinal cord. Now, she is dependent on her workman's comp checks which pay for her medical treatment of these injuries, but she can't get another job while receiving them. This has only been complicated by a serious staph infection in her toe, which has delayed treatment for her other injuries until the infection clears up. She had surgery on the toe in November, and we are still hoping she won't need to lose it!

In addition to the medical issues with her knee and toe, Tammy is living with fibromyalgia and TMJ, which cause her chronic pain. She also fights CPTSD, depression, and anxiety stemming from decades of domestic abuse. In recent years, she has begun confronting those challenges head-on to heal from that trauma. I couldn't be more proud of my mother's resilience and bravery. Even in this, she is thinking of others, as she asked me to make sure to talk about 988, the nationwide mental health crisis and suicide prevention lifeline. Back to the money. Medical bills are okay right now, thanks to workman's comp. Food, she can get through SNAP. But she has run through her savings and is in danger of losing her home. Any donations from this campaign will go directly to help her pay off:

Anything you can spare will help, even if it's only a few dollars! We are hoping to get the money raised by March 31 to prepare for the end of her forbearance on her home loan in April.
