Assalamu Alaykum dear community members,
There is a brother, who is the sole breadwinner of the family, has been seriously ill since October 2024. Initially, he was treated for a jugular vein issue. In January 2025, he required open-heart surgery for two damaged valves due to severe inflammation and was hospitalized until the end of February. After a brief return to work in mid-March, he suffered a relapse on March 19th with fever, balance issues, and focus problems. Following a car accident, doctors discovered intense inflammation causing infection and heart muscle damage.
Unemployed for six months, he recently underwent a high-risk heart surgery and will remain hospitalized out of state until the end of June due to a brain blood clot risk. This means at least nine months of unemployment followed by three months of care. He has three children and significant monthly expenses. His wife is staying in a room near the out-of-state hospital since early April to be close to her husband. They had to deposit $25,000 for the first surgery and face further medical bills for the recent one.
*Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and the Hereafter*
