After beating breast cancer and attempting to resume her normal life, our friend Chris is now battling leukemia and she needs our help.
This platform is intended to raise awareness and get the ball rolling. We are aware there are other ways to donate that do not take a percentage out of your donation. Tomorrow we will be in touch with Cashmere Vally bank to set up a free account- hopefully this campaign will go far and reach people that want to help.
With this new and completely different form of cancer Chris will be in the hospital- unable to leave forweeks. She will most likely be unable to work for a year, and will need Kelly’s continued support and presence in Seattle. We need more creative ideas and ways of sharing her story.
Not only will their their income suffer, but there will be new expenses to consider as well. The commute and parking in Seattle.. there will be housing costs when she needs to stay in the city to be close to the hospital after treatment.. all of this in addition to everyday expenses such as their mortgage on their home in Roslyn. She will need round the clock care, in the future that may include hiring a full time caregiver.
Chris has friends and family in Pennsylvania that will be taking time to be with her for extended periods. They will need to take time off of work- and purchase airfare to get here.
