Support for Molly

My friend’s daughter has been diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. Molly is 19 and this is a cancer that is usually seen in adults over 60. It is incurable. Needless to say, this diagnosis has upended Molly’s life in every way, including forcing her to postpone her plans to further her education.

Treatment to put Molly’s lymphoma into remission will be lengthy and costly. Molly will be seeing a fertility specialist to harvest eggs so that she can one day have a family and not worry about chemo's effect on her ability to do that. There are also some necessary procedures that are not covered by insurance at all.

I am starting this Go Fund Me to help Molly and her family with the financial burden they will be facing in the coming months and beyond. While the doctors are hopeful they can put this cancer into remission, Molly will never be free of the fear of it coming back unless and until a cure is found. I hope to help her to have the means to get through this so that she can resume her education and get back to having a life as carefree as possible, which every 19-year-old should have.
