My best friend Travis was recently diagnosed with GIST cancer which has metastasized to his liver and spine.  If you know Travis, you love him.  He is a great friend, brother, and son.  He is the kind of guy always willing to help a friend no matter what that entails.  I can remember more than a few times in our 30 years of friendship where he has bailed me out of a jam whether that meant covering me for a utility bill, picking me up when I got a flat tire, or taking me to the hospital when I couldn’t take myself.  He is sweet, hilarious, fiercely loyal, and always puts his friends and family first.  He is also stubborn, which is why we are asking for help on his behalf…because he never would.

Travis works with special needs children as a Program Coordinator at Damar Behavioral Services and is going to school to pursue his Master’s Degree.  He has had to put all of that on hold so he can get treatment.  The treatment is helping, but he has a long road ahead.  He has medical bills that are just starting to come in and are sure to be substantial.  He also has his regular living expenses, that without a paycheck, will be difficult to cover.  We want Travis to be able to focus on getting healthy and not have to worry about bills.  This is why his family and I have decided to create this page.

Travis is the one to always offer a helping hand and would rather not ask anyone else for help, so we are doing it for him.  Now is the time to offer him a hand back.  If you can donate, no matter how much, your help would be greatly appreciated.  Anything we can do to make his road to recovery easier, and allow him to focus on his treatment instead of how to financially get by, will help a great deal.  Please share to your pages and spread the word.  Thank you in advance for your help!
