NAVY VETERAN HOMELESS HELP

This American Hero Navy Veteran and his family are homeless. Hi. My name is Erwin.I am a Navy Veteran from the Viet Nam Era. I have Stage4 Emphysema/COPD and heart problems connected to that. InApril 2016, I had a heart attack. Sincethen, I was unable to work and the situation financially became worse as did mybreathing. In Sept. of 2017, my family and I were evicted from our home becausewe could no longer pay the rent. I was due to begin receiving SS retirement inNov. 2017. So until then we lived in a tent. This type of living made mycondition worse, which resulted in me coming close to having congestive heartfailure. We tried to get help from the DSS at that time and weredenied. We could have been put into a shelter but it would mean splitting upthe family and we didn't want to do that because we were all we had. Our car's engine blew at the beginning of March and sincethen we have tried to put money aside to be able to afford another car toreplace it. We live in a rural area of upstate NY and stores, hospitals, anddoctors are miles away. I haven't been able to see a doctor since then becausea taxi would be $20 each way. My medications have since ran out and I must seea doctor to have them renewed. I especially need Prednisone that helps with mybreathing a lot.I have a wife and two school age boys .
