A letter from his mother

“My son Ronald M. Colbert was my best friend. 37 years old, he lost his life. And I lost my heart.

He was a writer, a lyricist and he always brought joy to everyone he was around.

When I graduated with my first college degree, he took me to Hawaii. He was in school and working on his own college success.

All this changed when he was invited to a Hollywood industry party with people that were suppose to be his friends. They drugged him with laced drugs and he went into a paranoid psychosis.

He began a horrible journey in and out of hospitals and mental institutions, where he never received the help he truly needed to find his way back to himself. My heart broke.

I spent the last 17 years helping him on a journey of hope. I tried everything that was humanly possible to help him. With little to no help from doctors and hospitals. They gave up on him.

My beautiful son lost his battle for life on April 28, 2018. We are creating this GoFundMe for help with the funeral costs.
