Giving our Brother Jamie, a good send off
Donation protected
Dear all, we are Naomi and Iaishia Anderson, sisters to our dear brother Jamie Anderson.
Sadly, Jamie recently passed away at the age of 39. His heart, liver and kidneys failed. He spent 2 months in hospital and was showing signs of making a slow recovery but his condition deteriorated and he lost his battle.
My brother's story is a tragic one. He had a beautiful kind soul, showed much warmth to those he met and would always give to others, even when he had nothing to give. In his younger years, he was a keen footballer, playing for a local team and also spent some time in the Youth Work field. He loved radio controlled cars and fishing.
Our mother passed away 3 years ago and Jamie never coped with the loss. He lost the love he had for himself and spiralled into a path of poor mental health and negative choices for himself including bouts of homelessness which all lead to the rapid deterioration in his health.
He often struggled with suicidal thoughts thinking the world would be a better place without him. My sister and I often spent much effort supporting and reassuring him of his self worth but he bever believed it himself.
He never wanted to burden my sister and I with debts for a funeral if he died (especially given he couldn't contribute funds to our mums funeral) so said to only concern ourselves with providing him a 'paupers funeral' as he called it.
why we need your help
Whilst this would be an obvious choice with us having no funds to pay for his funeral, we feel despite his feelings, he deserves so much more, given the character and warm hearted person he was. We would like to do him proud by providing a service and a send off worthy of any person. We want to share his funny stories to friends and family together and see people turn out to pay their respects to show him that regardless of ones path in this life, one deserves a fitting send off to the next.
Any contributions, no matter how small, would really help us achieve this goal.
