On May 10th, I was involved in a serious car accident that completely totaled my car. While driving on the highway in wet conditions, I hit a puddle and hydroplaned, causing my car to spin across the highway and crash into the railing on the right side of the road.
Thankfully, my passenger and I survived, but we were both injured in the accident. Since then, I’ve been dealing with pain in my stomach, chest, and left side, while my passenger has pain in their knee, head, and arm. This has been one of the scariest experiences of my life.
I haven’t even graduated high school yet, and college is right around the corner. I already have to pay for many of my college expenses out of pocket, and now I’m also facing the loss of my transportation.
My car was important not only for me, but also for helping my family. I use it to help around the house, pick up my siblings, and prepare for school and work responsibilities. Right now, I’m trying to raise $2,600 to help me get another reliable vehicle and begin recovering from this unexpected situation.
Any donation, no matter how small, would truly help me more than words can explain. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to me. Thank you for reading my story and supporting me during this difficult time.
