On Tuesday December 24th, Christmas eve, my dad Alan Gregory was sitting in his truck in his driveway, listening to music. He had come home only a few minutes prior and was about to go in the house when a man that he has never seen before walked up and proceeded to beat my dad with a flashlight. If it weren't for my dad's strength and will to live, I'm not sure he would've survived. My dad is currently recovering in the Renown Reno ICU where he was lifeflighted. He suffered severe trauma to his head, face, arms and hands, with skull and facial fractures and a compound fracture in his left arm. He has been in ICU since Christmas and while he is alive and stable and seems to be mentally "here", he has a very long, very painful road back to good health. We do have insurance thankfully, but if you know Alan and could possibly help him out in this crazy difficult time, anything is appreciated. Thank you for your love and concern, it really warms our hearts seeing the community response to this awful event. 
Above all we just want our dad to get better and be happy again, he just retired about a month ago and things were finally looking up for him.
