Our Journey & Struggle with ALS
Donation protected
We are reaching out to all of you because my wife got diagnosed with Bulbar ALS on April 18, 2017, 6 months before that I lost my job as Chemical Engineer. We are financially struggling and looking for any potential help. The amount requested would be used for our day to day expenses for which we are already behind. The amount requested are very inferior to our current needs but any amount would be highly appreciated.Since my wife’s diagnosis I am becoming a full time caregiver for her without pay although I continue searching for job in order to provide for the basic needs. Since the lost of my job I have made all kind of efforts to find a job but been very unsuccessful to land one. On the same line, my wife was obligated to leave her job upon her diagnosis.Over the last year we have not been to get any type of income. We are currently unable to make our mortgage, utilities, car, phone or other household payments as we have no money left in our bank accounts. The only one help we are currently receiving monthly are of the state food stamps. We just and recently received a letter from our mortgage company asking us to pay our monthly due payments to prevent foreclosure. This is somehow embarrassing to me on having to ask for help but I am just trying to provide the basic needs to my wife without having her to worry about our financials but her illness. At this time I know this is an emergency situation for us and working on figuring out a longer solution but now we need immediate help.
