Leading into the holidays our father was diagnosed with Terminal Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. As he had been admitted right before christmas we were unable to spend both christmas and new years with him. Needless to say it has left us extremely heartbroken and left with a confusion beyond words. My father was always an extremely hard worker and he spent many years working with his hands in construction (framing)where he worked dusk to dawn building homes for people. This was something unexpected and extremely gut wrenching. Throughout many hospital visits unfortunately it has been presented pretty frankly that his diagnosis came too late. He decided not to go forward with any radiation or chemotherapy treatment because he wants to try alternative less aggressive treatments in Mexico if he has any fighting chance. My mom is going back to Mexico with him to find him treatment and to care for him in the place he knows as home. Any and every donation towards his cause will be considered beyond a blessing!

Antes de la Navidad, a nuestro padre le diagnosticaron cáncer colorrectal terminal en etapa 4. Como había sido admitido justo antes de Navidad, no pudimos pasar la Navidad y el Año Nuevo con él. No hace falta decir que nos ha dejado extremadamente desconsolados y con una confusión más allá de las palabras. Mi padre siempre fue un gran trabajador y pasó muchos años trabajando con sus manos en la construcción, donde trabajaba desde el atardecer hasta el amanecer construyendo casas para las personas. Esto fue algo inesperado y extremadamente desgarrador. Desafortunadamente, en muchas visitas al hospital se ha manifestado con toda franqueza que su diagnóstico llegó demasiado tarde. Decidió no seguir adelante con ningún tratamiento de radiación o quimioterapia porque quiere probar tratamientos alternativos menos agresivos en México si tiene alguna posibilidad de luchar. Mi mamá regresará a México con él para buscarle tratamiento y cuidarlo en el lugar que él conoce como su hogar. Cualquier donación para su causa se considerará más allá de una bendición.
