Help Pete fight brain cancer!

Hello! For those of you who don't know us, our names are Julia and Michael and we are Pete's kids. If you know our dad, you know that he has the funniest, easy going, happy personality. Even if he doesn't know you, you will feel like you have known each other forever. We are starting this page because on February 2, 2023 our life changed forever. On that day, our dad woke up extremely confused and unable to remember where he was and who his family was. After being rushed to the hospital, and many tests later, he was told he had a brain tumor. They were able to schedule a biopsy and later told us that he didn't have cancer but they still didn't know what it was. Expressing a slight sigh of relief, we were still left with many unknowns. In just 5 weeks after his biopsy, we are scheduling surgery since his tumor quickly grew. Thankfully his amazing surgical team was able to remove the entire tumor his amazing surgeon could see. When the biopsy results came in after having the entire tumor, we were told that not only does our dad have cancer, but he has a grade 4 glioblastoma, the most aggressive brain cancer someone can have in their brain. You can imagine the shock to our dad and the rest of our family had to go from not cancer to the most aggressive cancer ever. If anyone ever googled GBM, you will find a lot of not so great things about this cancer with an even worse prognosis. There is no one we believe more in than our dad. He is the toughest person we know and will get through anything. Despite this new diagnosis he has never given up hope and is pushing through all he has to during his treatment.

We wanted to start this page because since February our dad has been out of work. If you know him, you know that he is an extremely intelligent aircraft mechanic who loves his job. He has such a passion for aircraft's and has created his home away from home at his job, and not manny people can say that. With his ongoing treatment, he is unable to work and we are still unsure when he will return. We are hoping the donations received from this page will help our mom pay for bills and any medical care our dad may need.
