To our current supporters:
I am writing to a small group of you who support our ministry to let you know we are at a critical time of our ministry. While so much has been advancing so wonderfully, while production of theological material is faster than a Camaro, and while I am healthier both physically and spiritually than I have been in a decade, we have run into a significant problem and, because of this, s possible turning point.
Last month the IRS suddenly canceled our 501(c)3. It turns out that we have nearly $10,000 in back taxes. It looks like between moving Credo House headquarters in 2016 to my home, we were not getting mail for Credo House from the IRS. The first letter I received from them while here was last month. I thought we owed something but that it was a possible mistake since I never received anything from them here at my home. I should not have neglected this when I believed we owed this. I should have been more proactive in finding out, but I was not.
Therefore, ANYONE WHO GIVES ANY MONEY TO THE MINISTRY RIGHT NOW WILL NOT GET A TAX WRITE OFF.
Our tax attorney tells me that we can get this reinstated and all money that was given during the months starting mid-September will still get their tax-deduction, but we have to do it now. There is no guarantee that it will get reinstated, but more than likely, I am told by many, we can.
However, we have to pay the IRS immediately what we owe them. We do not have this. We would have to have you, our supporters, come to our aid even though we cannot guarantee a tax-deduction.
I don't want to lose the ministry. I love doing what I am doing. However, right now, we cannot exist without the support of our partners who contribute to what we are doing. I will follow the Lord down this path if it is his will. But I am asking Him and you to let us continue to do what we are doing. I want to move forward providing unique, balanced, deep, and gracious theological material for you and the rest of the world.
