Hello! My name is Rocio Arteaga I am a mother of a beautiful little baby boy named Dante leon Tavares.
Dante was born on December 30th 2017 , right after his birth he was rush to intensive care because of a birth defect called Microtia Atresia bilateral grade 3 ,During the first trimester of pregnancy the auditory canal was not formed in his both ears which is rare. Doctors think this may be caused by genetics but is still unknown
It is a very rare condition we had never heard of. It occurs in one out of 25,000 births it also may cause other medical complications the cause is still unknown. In the future he will need reconstruction surgery but no until he is 8 years old. Meanwhile he needs a hearing aid device called "BAHA 5". This is a high tech device that carries vibrations to the skull so he can hear he needed this device before 3 months to not delay his development. The issue here was our insurance called the device "aesthetic" and can not be covered. Through lots of help and persistence we were able to get one covered. ",Because he only needs one to hear." So today my husband and I are asking for your helping hand anything counts. Please help us reach our goal so we can help our little angel Dante grow and continue with his development.
