MiaAyana's fight against breast cancer

Right after Christmas, Mia went to get a biopsy done with the concern possibly having breast cancer. Starting the new year on January 2, 2020 and just 12 days from her 26th birthday, Mia was diagnosed with breast cancer. This wasn't something any of us would have expected starting the new year. Her world and ours, was completely turned upside down. She called me immediately after the news,scared and in tears. I told her that everything will be okay and it will be because she’s a fighter. She finally got to meet with her breast surgeon and was informed that she has Invasive Ductal Carcinoma: stage 3, grade 3, and Her2 positive. Its an extremely aggressive cancer and treatment will be rough. The one thing we do know, is that time waits for no one and we are going to get things started asap. She gets a port put in on January 23, 2020 and then starts chemo soon after. Once the chemo treatments are completed (its going to last 6 months), she will then have to undergo surgery, which will  result in a mastectomy. She will be having more tests done before and after surgery, so we don't know all the answers yet.  Mia has tried to receive medicaid but was denied for it due to her income, even if its barely enough to get by. Mia lives in Texas by herself without family close by for years now and because she has no family or close friends to really help her, I will be driving back and forth from Alabama to Texas to help her during this process. Greg and I are helping her by paying her medical bills and will continue to do what we can, but its something she or us can't do alone and were asking for help to relieve some of the financial burden of this difficult time. Once Mia starts chemo, her income will basically drop due to the treatment making her weak and sick. Then afterwards, she will have a major surgery and the recovery time after that. Mia is a fighter and will do her best during this journey. She got hurt from an accident and had her leg surgery in 2019, she still never gave up and kept trying. But due to the huge debt left from that surgery and the costs that will come during this cancer fighting journey, it's just too much for her to do alone. Mia has always found a way to hustle to make ends meet, but now she needs to focus on resting and doing what she needs to do to get rid of this aggressive cancer.  Anything that you are able to contribute to Mia, will be very much appreciated. For now we have put 30k as a goal to start for this year and once we get a better idea of all the costs within the next two years [ not including all medical ], we will raise it if we need help. All funds will go directly towards assisting Mia with medical  bills, basic living expenses, bills, groceries, prescriptions costs, and other things related to her care.
