Help Seth get a car

My name is Seth Vian. I’m 36 years old, and I’ve been stuck in a cycle of homelessness since my lease ran out of my apartment during the lockdown. I work full time for Universal Studios, but currently I’m floating from hotel to hotel, and it’s so expensive I have to borrow money to eat sometimes… which is also expensive when all you have are gas stations to shop at and a microwave to cook with.

I can’t save a dime. I can’t just put on my bootstraps and get through this. And with spring break heating up pretty soon I won’t be able to afford hotels; I’ll be on the street. It’s stressing me out to the point where I’ve contemplated suicide. It’s not fair to work full time and still end up on the street.

The worst thing is, a home wouldn’t even make my life better, because I don’t have a car; if said home isn’t within walking distance of my work, I’m just setting myself up for more struggle, and the more I struggle to do things like get to and from work or buy a bottle of shampoo the less time and energy I have for my son.

What will make my life better is a car.

If I had a car, I’d be able to find a place to live within reasonable DRIVING distance rather than reasonable walking distance. I’d be able to get my meals from a grocery store instead of a gas station. I’ll be able to drive 1 1/2 hours it takes to see my son instead of waiting for his mother to have time to bring him to me. And I’d be able to earn supplemental income in the form of donating plasma and driving for Grubhub.

In short, I’m not going to be able to get my life together until I get a car.

The money for this Gofundme will help me get an affordable vehicle from a trusted friend, along with all the miscellaneous stuff needed to get a car on the road (title, tag, insurance, etc). From there I can find a home and get my shit together on my own — I’m not a bum; I just need someone to give me a chance.
