Dear all,

It is with great sadness that Brucie Grace, 16, eldest son of our dearest friend Rachel Grace, tragically passed away on 24th Feb 2021, at home while being comforted by his mother, sister and brother.
He had breathing difficulties which led to complications from which he was unable to be saved.
Brucie Robert Grace was born on the 15th September 2004. He was a beautiful blonde haired boy with a lovely smile and became a lovely, kind and attentive friend to many. Over the years he grew quickly to become the 6 foot & 2 inch lad we knew and loved. He seemed proud of his height, was a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) and always very protective of his siblings Cassie and Rory, and also of his mum.
He loved his lego, of which he made many collections, his xbox and couldn't live without his ipad and mobile, which were always in his hands. He was a loving sensitive soul who loved and lived for his close family. Rest in Peace Brucie, with your big sister Roberta.
Rachel originally from Dublin, Ireland now lives in Preston, United Kingdom with her young family. She hopes for Brucie to be reunited with Roberta in Ireland.
This awful loss has left his family, the Deaf community, and everyone who knew and loved Brucie, in shock. We, as Rachel’s friends, feel that we must do whatever we can to honour Brucie and his family, not least as Covid has denied us the ability to comfort and be with them physically to support them at this awful time.
We have chosen to support them by way of a collection in memory of Brucie, to aid them with additional financial costs that they will now face.
With your help we hope to ease the financial burden of losing a beautiful son and brother, and release the family to focus on their grief. Please consider whether you can support them in any way, to ease a small part of the colossal pain the family are living through.
All donations will go directly to the family to help cover the costs of anything which may help Rachel, Cassie and Rory cope with the loss of their son and brother, Brucie.
There has already been an incredible outpouring of love and support from those that knew Brucie and the family and we hope this collection can provide a practical outlet for that kindness and love. Every contribution, large or small, is welcome and will go directly to the family.
Our thoughts and love go out to everyone close to Brucie at this incredibly sad time.
With lots of love and gratitude
Rachel’s friends: Susan W, Debbie, Bernie, Jane, Geraldine, Mariette, Karen and Susan O'C
