Hi, a group of friends is raising funds for a mum of two who was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Weeks of in and out of hospital, test after test, misdiagnosis and a fast deterioration of condition meant that Karissa could not work. A day turned into a week, then two and now 6 weeks later, the progression of the then unknown illness led to her inability to walk. 3 days ago she was finally told she has Granulomatosis with polyangiitis and has finally been administered the right treatment to help her begin recovery. This is fantastic news, but the recovery will be slow. This means savings have slowly depleted and the rent, housing and food bills still need to be paid.

Karissa is a loving mum, a passionate educator and a beautiful friend who always looks out for others. We’ll now it’s our turn to do the same for her.
