Hello, my name is Sydney Hamilton (Hull). I am fundraising for my father, Victor Hull, who has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. My father has a difficult road ahead of him with chemotherapy, radiation, and possibly more if he has any hospital stays or needs to be transported to a new hospital for alternative treatment. My father's biggest struggle right now has been paying his deductible for this year (it's $5,500) and then he has to pay it all over again in two months in January to continue treatment (totaling to $11,000). It has often been hard enough for my father to make ends meet, and this is an added stressor. I started this fundraiser to help alleviate some of the burden from my father and our family. If you can contribute anything small to help alleviate some of the costs for our family, it is truly appreciated (as well as sharing). Thank you for taking the time to read his story below.

Back story: On September 9th, Victor went to the walk-in clinic for abdomen pain. He was sent to Wilson General Hospital to have CT Scans that day and made an appointment with his doctor for the 17th. On the 20th, they did an Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) with a stent in his pancreas. The next night Victor had immense pain, chills, vomiting and was rushed to Binghamton General Hospital (BGH). He was treated for an infection in his gallbladder from the stent. While admitted, a mass was found on his pancreas. The biopsy showed that it was cancer. Victor was released from the hospital on September 27th and on September 30th, his oncologist diagnosed him with stage 4 pancreatic cancer as a second mass was found on his liver. On October 8th, he had a chemotherapy pump/port placed in his body to directly treat the cancer. Victor started his first round of chemo on October 11th and will be receiving chemo every 2 weeks.
