Hi! Our names are Jessica and April and we are making this fundraiser for our best friend’s family who is fighting the fight to beat cancer’s butt! Tyler’s battle started when he had a seizure on his way to work on June 15th. He was on his way to work when he had a seizure and lost consciousness while getting on 264. He went across both lanes of 264 without a scratch on him or his car. He went to the hospital to get checked out and they referred him to get a MRI. After getting his MRI the doctors called to let them know that he had a mass on his brain. Surgery was scheduled for July 20th to remove the brain tumor. Surgery went great and doctors were able to remove the brain tumor with little to no complications. On August 18th they had an appt at the cancer center to find out the results of the pathology report. They heard the words no family ever wants to hear... it’s cancer. Tyler’s tumor was diagnosed as diffuse astrocytoma, grade II, IDH mutated, MGMT methylated glioma. Tyler will undergo 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy for 30 weeks. Tyler has a sweet wife named Brittany and a precious little girl named Ava that needs him there to see her grow up. Tyler has been out of work since his accident on June 15th. Since Tyler had a seizure he isn’t able to drive and his wife and other family members are taking the time off to be able to get him to all of his appointments. We created this fundraiser to help his family with medical expenses and bills while Tyler is out of work and to lessen the financial stress that comes with fighting cancer. Tyler and his wife would do anything for anybody in need and now is our time to help them.
