My name is Rachel. I'm 19 years old and I have autism. I lived with my family for most of my life but I was struggling a lot. I isolated myself from the world and never had a single friend. A few months ago, I came across a nonprofit that helped me move from Florida to Alabama and provided me with a place to stay until I could get a job and afford my own place. Unfortunately, the job market is atrocious at the moment and with my already existing limitations (mainly related to autism), I couldn't get a job in a reasonable amout of time. I ended up getting sent from the apartment I was staying at into a homeless shelter. However, I soon had a mental breakdown and was quickly kicked out in which I then spent the night in the hospital. Now, I'm staying with the only person I know is willing to help but I have just a few days before I'm on the street. At the monent I just need money to get a place to stay until I can finally get myself stable income. I also need to afford clothes and a way to shower so I can stay clean.

If I can finally get out of this situation, I'd probably fix my GPA and go to college and study computer science or something like that. I've always loved technology and tinkering with electronics and learning programs and stuff so I think a job in that field would be amazing for me.
