Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your support for Nashoba, my beautiful 6-year-old German Shepherd.
This morning, Nashoba was in excruciating pain and had to be rushed to the emergency veterinary hospital. He was diagnosed with gastric torsion, a life-threatening condition that required an immediate decision. Without hesitation, I chose surgery to save his life.
The estimated cost of the surgery is between $9,000 and $12,000 (before taxes). It’s an overwhelming amount, especially during the holiday season, and not something I was financially prepared for.
Nashoba is not “just a dog.” He is family. He has been a constant source of support for me through some of the hardest moments of my life, including depression, anxiety, and the loss of loved ones. Now, he’s the one who needs help.
Asking for help isn’t easy — it can feel uncomfortable — but I’m learning that sometimes, it’s necessary.Any contribution, no matter the amount, truly makes a difference. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, support, and love for Nashoba
