Help Save Dusty – our beloved puppy needs urgent care

Today, our daughter Charlie and her partner Ryan’s beautiful 5-month-old Golden Retriever, Dusty, was tragically hit by a car during a normal walk in Riddells Creek. It was a heartbreaking accident, with no one at fault - just a split-second moment that changed everything.

Dusty is now at the Animal Hospital in Essendon Fields receiving urgent medical care. He has serious lung injuries from the impact and may require several days on a respirator to support his breathing. The incredible vets caring for him have warned us that the next 24-48 hours are critical. Like a severe bruise, the internal damage may worsen before it improves.

Unfortunately, Dusty does not have pet insurance, and the cost of his care is approximately $2,500 every 12 hours. This has put an enormous financial strain on Charlie and Ryan, who are doing everything they can to save their much-loved pup.
