I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan and relocated to Hermosa Beach, California four years ago. I have always been passionate about animal rights, saving my first kitten when I was four years old and never looked back. I am heavily involved in rescue efforts through fostering for the Animal Wellness Foundation & spay/neuter education. I receive many requests a day from people who have found an animal or are in an urgent need of support. I want to help everyone and provide a safe haven for all the homeless animals but resources are limited and social networking isn't enough. That is am asking for donations. This money will be used for my foster animals and fund for The Animal Wellness Foundation.

FYI - If you can't donate, you can still help in a BIG WAY. Share on social media spay/neuter education and animals that need saving. Become a volunteer at a local shelter or rescue. Become a foster parent! Educate yourself and others on the facts. Please remember, acquiring animals from breeders, Craigslist, people who failed to spay/neuter pets end up with litters, puppy mills, etc. condemns shelter animals to death. Only 2.2 to 15% of dogs and .2 to 3% of cats brought to shelters are placed in homes. The rest are killed, or, worse, turned over to dealers or laboratories. On average, 25% of animals killed in shelters are purebred. In some regions, 50% are purebred. The most popular breeds are often found in shelters in the greatest numbers.This endless killing perverts a major purpose of humane societies, which is to prevent suffering and to investigate and prosecute cases of animal cruelty. Vast numbers of animals briefly cared for and then killed in shelters are an enormous drain on both public funds and on private philanthropy. Governmental agencies and humane societies are forced to devote their resources to processing and killing animals, while education, investigation, and prosecution go without funding.
